BLOOM London Dry Gin, the world’s fastest-growing premium gin[1], is proud to unveil its new, limited edition, BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower, following unprecedented demand from its fans online.

Created by renowned Master Distiller, Joanne Moore, BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower is a flavoured gin liqueur that is set to drive the continued growth of this dynamic segment of the gin category.  The light and fruity combination of lemon & elderflower plays perfectly to the palate of today’s consumers and at 25% ABV and with a significantly lower sugar content than other gin liqueurs[2], BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower has strong appeal to the many consumers who are buying into the category.

In keeping with the brand’s sophisticated style, the key serve for BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower is in a flute, topped up with a premium quality sparkling wine, making it ideal for celebratory occasions at home or in outlets.

A variety of gift packs will be available to retailers who list the brand, including a BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower gift pack containing a 70cl bottle and a BLOOM-branded flute. BLOOM will also be working with leading cava brand, Freixenet, to drive trial amongst consumers, starting in the UK. As part of the partnership, a duo gift pack including miniature bottles of both BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower and Freixenet cava will be available.

The new addition to the BLOOM family launches globally this month, with visitors to the Tax-Free World Association (TFWA) Exhibition in Cannes being the first in the world to try it as it makes its debut at the show this week. BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower will be available to customers in 70cl format and will also be available in 5cl miniatures later this year. A 75cl version is available to customers in the USA.

The growing popularity of flavoured gin liqueurs is showing no sign of abating and is succeeding in attracting new consumers to the category. Now worth £21 million in the UK alone, consumer demand for flavoured gin liqueurs looks set to continue. BLOOM Gin has established itself among the leading brands in the category[3] with BLOOM Strawberry Gin Liqueur, which has experienced strong growth over the last year. With its appealing flavour profile, lower sugar content and stylish design, the opportunity for BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower is evident.

Elaine Maher, International Brand Director for BLOOM Gin comments, “Following the fantastic response from consumers to our BLOOM Strawberry Gin Liqueur, we decided to explore other flavour variants that would capture the imagination of our fans. BLOOM has become a popular choice at weddings in recent years and so we looked to the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for inspiration and asked BLOOM fans on Instagram if they would like us to make a Lemon & Elderflower BLOOM Gin Liqueur, inspired by the flavours of their wedding cake. The response was overwhelmingly positive, so Joanne Moore set herself the task of creating it, balancing the two flavours whilst retaining the brand’s trademark smoothness. We’re delighted with the result and we’re confident it will be a big hit with our fans.”

BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower is available now to customers globally in markets including Australia, USA, Ireland and the UK. A suite of tools for on-trade customers will also be available. A multi brand BLOOM gift pack containing BLOOM Original, BLOOM Lemon & Elderflower and BLOOM Jasmine & Rose will also be available later this year.
