As the coronavirus crisis escalates, international spirits company, Quintessential Brands, has implemented a number of measures to protect our business and our people during this challenging period for us all.
From Wednesday 18th March, all office staff based in our London HQ and at our production sites in France, Ireland and the UK, will be working from home, with only staff in production allowed on site. The Dublin Liberties Distillery is temporarily closed to visitors, however the distillery and online shop remain operational.
Our production sites continue to operate as usual, but we have introduced various controls to protect both colleagues and customers. These include:
- Limiting visitors to the sites to only those who are business-critical
- Screening of all visitors in advance of security checks
- Segregating manufacturing from remaining office staff
- Deep cleaning production areas at the beginning and end of each shifts
- Providing temperature monitors for colleagues in production, as well as hand sanitiser at all sites
We have also provided stringent guidance for colleagues on what to do if they or a family member develops symptoms.
Continuity of supply
Our supply chain is currently operating without disruption, but as the scale of the international crisis deepens and borders and ports continue to close, we expect this to change. We will endeavour to update customers with regards to any impact we foresee as quickly as possible and we will do all we can to minimise any disruption to our service. Our procurement and planning teams and their supply chain partners will continue to monitor the situation and take the appropriate action in the best interests of our customers.
Quintessential Brands Group CEO and co-founder, Warren Scott, comments; “As the stark reality of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation has unfolded, I have been immensely proud of the way in which colleagues at all sites within the Group have responded to the challenge we’ve faced thus far. I would like to pay particular thanks to our production teams for their professionalism, commitment and responsiveness in protecting our manufacturing capabilities and dealing with the many customer enquiries we have received, so huge thanks to all the team who are working so hard to provide the excellent customer service we strive for.
There can be no overstating the immense challenge we’re facing – both as a global community and as an industry – and I’m sure the impact of COVID-19 on many of our customers and industry counterparts will be felt for some time to come. For now, we are concentrating on supporting our customers, our colleagues and our communities as best we can and looking forward to brighter days for us all.”
