Dublin Liberties Distillery is celebrating gold once again with news that four of its Liberties range have taken gold at the Irish Whiskey Masters. The latest wins, follow hot on the heels of Copper Alley’s double gold at The International Spirits Challenge (ISC) in June.

rish Whiskey gold medal winners are; Oak Devil (a 5 year old blended Irish whiskey), Copper Alley (a 10 year old Single Malt), Murder Lane (a 13 Year Old Single Malt) and Keeper’s Coin (a 16 Year Old Single Malt).
Created by renowned Master Distiller at Dublin Liberties Distillery, Darryl McNally and his team, The Liberties range through their evocative names and intricate illustrations, tell the legendary stories of Dublin’s colourful history in the 17th and 18th Century.

Oak Devil is a blended Irish whiskey that has been aged for over 3 years and is bottled without chill filtration at 46%. Maturation is entirely in ex-Bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes:
colour: Pure Gold
nose: Baked apples, fresh hay, warm brown sugar, with a floral note.
palate: Lots of upfront sweetness, powdered sugar, toffee apples, cider and caramel.
finish: Gentle prickle of spice: nutmeg, cardamom and cinnamon spice, with lingering sweetness of hard caramels.
Copper Alley is a 10 year old single malt that was initially aged in traditional ex-American Bourbon oak and finished in 30 year old Oloroso sherry casks for around 6 months. What makes this whiskey so special, is the fact that only 31 sherry casks were chosen for this bottling. This whiskey is non-chill filtered and has an abv of 46%.
Tasting Notes:
Colour:Deep Rich amber
nose: Delicate honey and powdered sugar sweetness give way to a floral note of apple blossom and red fruits.
taste: Deep fruity notes of baked plums and red grapes are imparted by Olorosso sherry casks, giving gorgeous oak notes rounded by golden syrup sweetness.
finish: A lingering finish full of rich dark chocolate.
Keeper’s Coin is a 13 year old, triple distilled single malt, with 46% abv and has been matured in bourbon casks before being finished in Hungarian Tokaj casks. Made with 100% Irish malt, the whiskey is brimming with aromas of marzipan, almonds and vanilla with apricot, cocunut and white peach to taste.

nose: Marzipan and vanilla sugar with toasted coconut and almonds
tastE: Ripe apricot flesh, white peach and a hint of coconut.
finish: A dry finish with gentle prickle
Murder Lane is a 16 year old single malt, triple-distilled, Irish whiskey made from 100% Irish malt. It was initially matured in Bourbon barrels, before being finished in Pedro-Ximenez Sherry casks. This is a smooth, full flavoured whiskey, with a rich honey sweetness to finish.

Colour:Auburn
nose: Fudge, soft toffee, toasted hazelnuts and baked banana with sea salt caramel
taste: Poached pears, treacle tart and dried apricots are met by a big oak influence and a salted butter mouth-feel.
finish: The finish is smooth and round with honey sweetness
