Marblehead announces distribution agreement with ultra premium ginger liqueur

The world’s first premium French ginger liqueur, Domaine de Canton, has signed a distribution agreement with spirits brand
developer, Marblehead. This took effect from January 1st 2014 and covers both the on and off-trade in the UK. Domaine de Canton is highly respected amongst the on-trade and, with its distinctive shaped bottle and quality liqueur made of fresh baby ginger from Vietnam, stands out on the shelf.

Domaine de Canton is handmade in small batches in Jarnac in the heart of Cognac, France. Each batch is made using fresh, baby ginger from Vietnam, blended with VSOP and Grande Champagne XO cognac and is packaged in a frosted, bamboo-shaped bottle. Domaine de Canton is based on a recipe originally inspired by French colonial Indochina which had a tradition of using sweet and fresh elixirs, fortified by fine eaux de vie and cognac.
A versatile ingredient in cocktails, Domaine de Canton has also found favour with top chefs around the world as a cooking ingredient.
Domaine de Canton runs the annual Ginger Lovers Recipe Contest and the Bartender of the Year competition with an all-expenses paid trip to the French West Indies and a $10,000 prize. Domaine de Canton is owned by Maurice Cooper et Cie based in the US.
Domaine de Canton has won several awards including Double Gold Medal (Best in Show) at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
