Quintessential Brands Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Shane Hoyne as Chief Marketing Officer. Hoyne will also be a member of the Quintessential Brands Group Executive Team.
Hoyne, who is recognised in the drinks industry for his ability to build progressive, consumer-orientated brands, joined Quintessential Brands on 1st March. As Chief Marketing Officer, Hoyne assumes responsibility for the company’s Premium Brands portfolio, leading teams located in Lon-don and Dublin, to continue the impressive growth the portfolio is currently enjoying across vari-ous categories, with notable success for Greenall’s, The Original London Dry Gin, and The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey, which has generated significant interest in the industry since its launch in New York last month.
Hoyne joins Quintessential Brands from Bacardi Ltd where in addition to his role as Chief Marketing Officer for Europe, he was also responsible for global leadership for leading global brands, including Martini Vermouths, Bombay Sapphire Gin and Dewar’s Scotch. Before joining Bacardi, Hoyne was at William Grant & Sons, where he led the global brand strategy for Grant’s Scotch and Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey and led the integration of Drambuie Liqueur into the portfolio following its acquisition. He has also worked across multiple markets for HEINEKEN, including roles in Dublin, at the company’s global headquarters in Amsterdam and as Senior Brand Director for HEINEKEN USA.

In his role as Chief Marketing Officer, Hoyne replaces Mike Salmon, who has been with the com-pany since Visone and Scott acquired G&J Distillers in 2011. Salmon joined Quintessential Brands following a distinguished career in the drinks industry, including at Berry Bros & Rudd, and has been instrumental in the company’s success over the last six years. Salmon will continue to work for Quintessential Brands as a Non-Executive Director.
