Quintessential Brands, the international spirits group, announces the appointment of Max Hayes as the Sales Director of Quintessential Brands Ireland, with immediate effect.
As part of the continued expansion of Quintessential Brands’ international sales organisation, Max will lead the development of the Irish sales organisation, responsible for both the branded and private label businesses. Max will also have a leadership role in the development of the Irish Spirits Portfolio internationally, as Quintessential Brands Group expands both its Irish Whiskey and Irish Cream businesses.
Since 2013, Quintessential Brands has been investing in Ireland, initially with the acquisition of First Ireland Spirits and a €3m investment in the upgrade of the production facilities. Over the past three years this investment has expanded to include The Dublin Liberties Distillery which is under construction in Dublin, opening in 2018, and the launch of a premium Irish whiskey portfolio, under The Dubliner and The Dublin Liberties brands. The newly formed Irish distribution business will focus on the development of the Irish brands as well as the rest of the Quintessential Brands portfolio, in both the on and off trade in Ireland. It will also seek to develop the considerable B2B and private label services which Quintessential Brands Group offers internationally to retailers and third parties.
Max brings with him a wealth of commercial experience, having spent over 18 years in the drinks industry holding senior roles in C&C Group, Allied Domecq and Beam-Suntory, working in both the domestic Irish market and internationally.
